Location, Location, Location
The Spanish territory of the Canary Islands is situated 800 miles south of mainland Spain, just 60 miles from the coast of the Western Sahara. Although politically we are still part of Europe, the islands seem to have more connections, culturally and geographically, with Africa and South America.
For the Film, Television or Photographic producer this makes the Canary Islands of signifiant interest for a number of very good reasons. We have excellent weather the whole year round; temperatures range from 34°C in the summer to 20°C in winter. The climate is especially dry so rain is a very 
rare occurrence, and we have long days of uninterrupted sunshine.
What is often overlooked, is the incredible variety of different location types available, both natural and man-made, so much more than the obvious tourist locations. There are bustling cities with international airports, quaint villages and towns with impressive colonial architecture, and the most diverse variety of natural locations to be found anywhere in the world.
Equally important, there is a modern infrastructure, including regular daily flights from most major European cities, an abundance of excellent 4 and 5 star hotels, and first class crew and equipment already in place.
